Get Paid to Play in the Dirt (and Change Lives)!:
Environmental Education and Stewardship Lead | Power To Be
Love the outdoors? Love helping people fall in love with it too? Come work at our Prospect Lake site, where nearly 80 acres of forest, gardens and trails are waiting for you. Power To Be helps youth, families and adults who face barriers get out into nature. We need a hands-on, big-hearted person to help us do it.

What your days could look like

- Lead fun, welcoming programs that help people learn about nature and feel at home on the land and prepare for the workforce.
- Pull invasive plants, restore natural areas and keep our gardens and trails safe and beautiful.
- Run the mowers, tractors, and tools.
- Team up with volunteers, community partners and Indigenous communities on environment projects.
- Host stewardship events and make every visitor feel welcome.

What we are looking for

- At least two years of experience in environmental education, outdoor programs, stewardship, landscaping or grounds work.
- Experience supporting people with barriers or disabilities, or similar inclusive experience.
- A valid BC Class 4 driver’s license (by February 2027) and a satisfactory driver’s abstract.

- A way to get to the Prospect Lake site, and the ability to do physical outdoor work.
- A Criminal Record Check and Criminal Record Review Act Check.

What you get

- $55,000–$65,000 a year, based on experience (40 hours a week).
- 90% employer-paid extended health and dental plan.
- Paid vacation, an annual winter closure and flexible work scheduling.
- Training and chances to grow, plus outdoor equipment and pro-deal discounts.
- A real chance to help shape the future of Power To Be.

Our Commitment to Inclusion
We are committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. We actively encourage applications from historically underrepresented groups and strive to create a workplace that reflects the communities we serve. We want all staff to feel secure, respected, and supported.
