Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Associate Insurance Advisor specializing in Personal Lines insurance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with clients, provide expert insurance advice, and develop your sales skills in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in helping clients protect what matters most while growing your career in insurance sales and customer service. A successful candidate will need to obtain their general level 1 license in order to be considered. Once hired you will build a broad knowledge of The Co‑operators personal lines (auto, home, travel) and may also assist with specialty lines (commercial, farm, life and investments).

Responsibilities

- Actively engage with prospective and existing clients working in inbound sales, service and profitable growth of both personal lines and specialty lines products
- Provide comprehensive insurance consultations, explaining policy options clearly and transparently to provide advice that meets individual client needs
- Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending a full scope of additional products/services that benefit the client
- Support financial services development activities in the agency
- Develop and maintain robust client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and ongoing support
- Manage sales administration tasks efficiently, including documentation,



follow-up communications, and policy processing
- Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately
- Proactively complete client reviews on the auto, home portfolio
- May provide administrative support including ordering supplies, bank deposits, maintaining office records

Requirements

- General Insurance License is Required - candidates with a date set to write the license exam will be considered
- Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses
- Applicant should live locally
- Goal oriented and able to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively and build rapport with clients
- Strong customer service orientation with a passion for helping clients achieve financial security
- Demonstrated analysis skills to assess client needs accurately and recommend appropriate solutions
- Experience in sales administration and marketing strategies is advantageous
- Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license may be required

Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
