We are seeking experienced Owner Operators to join our growing Ontario operation running primarily Intermodal Container freight on Ontario → U.S. Northeast lanes, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York.

This is an excellent opportunity for Owner Operators looking for consistent work, competitive compensation, strong operational support, and long-term growth with a company that is actively expanding its fleet.

Compensation

$1.25 per mile

Lane & Work Overview

- Ontario-based operation
- Cross-border Ontario → U.S. Northeast
- Regular lanes covering Pennsylvania, Ohio & New York
- Primarily Intermodal Container freight




- Loads coordinated through major Ontario intermodal facilities

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a tractor-trailer on assigned cross-border routes
- Transport intermodal containers efficiently and securely
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate trip and regulatory documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
- Follow all applicable U.S. and Canadian transportation regulations
- Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism
- Report mechanical or equipment concerns promptly
- Represent HAP Transportation Group professionally at all times

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 / CDL with the appropriate qualifications
- Proven tractor-trailer driving experience
- Previous cross-border U.S. experience preferred
- Intermodal/container experience is an asset
- Robust knowledge of transportation safety and compliance requirements
- Clean and safe driving record
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Ability to operate efficiently on long-haul cross-border routes
