Junk Removal Technician / Skilled Labourer

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Junk Removal & Biohazardous Cleaning

- Remove and dispose of contents from residential and commercial properties, including furniture, mattresses, appliances, and miscellaneous items.
- Perform biohazardous junk removal involving pest infestations, bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, narcotics/paraphernalia, and excessive contents.
- Safely bag, handle, load,



and transport materials in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.

Demolition & Restoration

- Perform selective demolition and tear-outs, including carpet, underlay, staples, smooth edge, drywall, insulation, baseboards, trim, and door jambs.
- Assist with restoration, cleaning, and general labour duties as required.

Carpet Cleaning/ Pressure Washing

- Operate truck-mounted and portable carpet cleaning equipment.
- Perform residential and commercial carpet cleaning in houses, townhouses, apartments, offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform pressure washing services for residential and commercial properties, including exterior and interior surfaces as required

Equipment, Vehicles & Documentation

- Drive, reverse, and park 14–21 ft. bumper-pull trailers at various job sites and waste transfer stations.
- Complete daily truck and trailer inspections, including walk-arounds and safety checks.
- Monitor trailer equipment, fluids, batteries, and general operating condition.
- Complete all required work orders, Jobber checklists, equipment sign-out sheets, and daily timesheets accurately.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe company vehicles and equipment.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Requirements:





- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Minimum 3 years of continuous driving insurance history.
- Minimum 2 years of trailer-driving experience.
- Clean 3-year driver's abstract.
- Clean Criminal Record Check.
- Comfortable driving and maneuvering a 14–21 ft. bumper-pull trailer.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and performing demanding manual labour.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

POSITION DETAILS

- Employment: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Location: Edmonton, AB
- Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
