Job Summary

The Automotive Mechanic inspects, maintains, and repairs vehicles and related equipment, using sound mechanical knowledge and secure work practices. The role combines troubleshooting, repair, and assembly to help customers and colleagues rely on equipment that is ready for use.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, hand tools, and power tools; complete automotive repairs and routine maintenance.
- Inspect and service applicable heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, Caterpillar machinery, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Perform welding and HVAC-related work as appropriate, and support equipment assembly and repair.
- Communicate findings clearly, provide courteous customer service, and handle heavy lifting or equipment operation safely when needed.

Skills





Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, automotive repair ability, and safe use of hand and power tools support effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and assembly. Clear communication and customer service help explain findings and coordinate work. Preferred: Dealership or mechanic experience, electrical experience, and familiarity with schematics, welding, HVAC, heavy equipment operation, industrial equipment, or the listed machinery are valuable.
