About the Role

AutoShack is hiring Retail Sales Associates who are comfortable talking to customers, asking questions and closing sales.

This is a commissioned sales position, not a cashier or stock-clerk role. Your hourly wage provides the base; strong sales performance gives you the opportunity to earn additional income through monthly commission.

AutoShack drives customers to the store through pricing, marketing and product availability. Your job is to make the most of each customer opportunity by understanding what they need, recommending the right solution and completing the sale professionally.

What Your Day Looks Like:

Sales – Approximately 50%

- Handle inbound sales calls and in-person customer opportunities
- Ask questions to understand the customer's vehicle, repair and needs
- Use Year/Make/Model and VIN information to identify the correct parts
- Recommend complete repair solutions, product bundles and complementary parts
- Explain AutoShack's Extended Warranty program and its benefits
- Build value without pressuring or overselling the customer
- Work toward strong Average Order Value and individual sales performance

Customer Service – Approximately 25%

- Assist customers with product questions, pickups, returns and exchanges
- Explain product details, fitment requirements and store policies clearly
- Resolve routine customer concerns professionally
- Process sales, returns, exchanges and BOPIS orders accurately
- Maintain clear order notes and customer information

Inventory & Store Operations – Approximately 25%

- Receive and put away stock orders
- Pick and retrieve customer product




- Participate in inventory counts and accuracy checks
- Process product being returned to the AutoShack Distribution Centre
- Face and organize inventory
- Maintain clean, organized customer and inventory areas
- Complete assigned opening, daily and end-of-day tasks

Compensation

This position includes an hourly wage plus monthly sales commission.

Commission rewards individual performance in three areas:

- Average Order Value
- Extended Warranty Sales
- Return Rate

Average Order Value is a major focus because it reflects how effectively you identify the customer's complete needs and recommend relevant products.

Associates who consistently execute the sales process well have an opportunity to earn meaningful additional compensation above their hourly wage.

What We're Looking For

- Previous sales, retail or customer-service experience
- Comfortable starting conversations and recommending products
- Confident speaking with customers in person and by phone
- Sales-minded and motivated by measurable performance
- Able to learn automotive products, fitment systems and sales processes
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and professional presentation
- Comfortable using POS, computers and inventory systems
- Available to work a full-time retail schedule, including weekends

Automotive parts experience is an asset, but not required.





Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position — not a desk-based or light-duty retail role. Employees are on their feet for most of the shift and regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, climb rolling stairs, stock shelves, receive and put away inventory, retrieve customer orders, and assist with carry-outs.

AutoShack parts can be heavy and bulky. Employees routinely lift, carry and move individual items or multiple boxes up to 40 lbs throughout the day.
