Electronic Assembly and Repair Technician

Our client is a specialized electronics manufacturing and repair facility located in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, dedicated to producing high-quality circuit boards and electronic assemblies. They operate in a precision-driven environment where technical accuracy and adherence to strict quality standards are paramount to their success.

Our client is currently looking for an Electronics Assembly and Repair Technician to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electronic assembly, including inspecting, soldering, testing, and troubleshooting circuit boards and electronic products.

Responsibilities

- Inspect printed circuit boards (PCBs) and components to identify defects or assembly issues.
- Perform precision hand soldering for both through-hole and surface-mount (SMD) components.
- Assemble electronic products and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair defective electronic circuit boards.
- Identify and replace faulty electronic components as needed.




- Conduct functional testing and quality inspections on finished products.
- Operate electronic tools such as multimeters, soldering stations, and microscopes.
- Adhere to production procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of production and inspection activities.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

- Experience in electronics assembly, PCB soldering, inspection, and repair.
- Robust knowledge of electronic components and circuit board assembly processes.
- Proficiency in soldering and de-soldering small electronic components with precision.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with PCB troubleshooting and electronic circuit testing.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT/SMD) is preferred.
- Prior experience in electronic manufacturing or production environments is an asset.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
