Job Title: Asbestos/Hazardous materials Abatement Technician

Operating out of Chilliwack since 2017, PCS Inc. provides professional mould remediation, hazardous material testing, and asbestos removal across the Fraser Valley. Abatement work takes focus, physical stamina, and strict adherence to safety protocols. We keep our company culture down-to-earth, fair, and focused on doing the job right. We are currently looking for reliable, safety-minded workers who possess or can acquire their WorkSafeBC Asbestos Abatement certification to join our field teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up, maintain, and decommission regulated containment zones according to WorkSafeBC procedures.
- Secure removal, handling, packaging, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM).
- Operate HEPA filtration units, negative air machines, and decontamination enclosures.
- Coordinate effectively with field supervisors and crew members to ensure safe, on-schedule job completion.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Asbestos Abatement Course: Must hold a valid WorkSafeBC Asbestos Abatement Certificate (Level 1 and 2), OR be eligible and willing to complete certification prior to start date. Assistance navigating certification pathways is provided for qualified candidates.
- Physical Capability: Must be physically fit and able to perform demanding site labor, including crawling, crouching, standing for extended periods, and repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work Ethic & Teamwork: Variable time scheduling based on the season. Dependable, punctual,



and capable of clear communication: the line of work requires clear coordination and understanding of instructions.
- Respirator Readiness: Able to pass a respirator fit test (must remain clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face) and work year round with the equipment.
- Transportation: reliable personal transportation to get to our office, meet up with the team so that you can move as a single unit with the company’s vehicle.

- Starting Pay: $25.00 CAD / hour, with formal annual performance and wage reviews.
- Training on the job: After you acquire your certification and start working, we will teach you the skills necessary to successfully complete an abatement or an environmental remediation.
