Job Summary

The Vet Assistant supports veterinarians and the care team with daily animal care and clinic tasks. This hands-on role helps keep patients comfortable, work areas organized, and care moving smoothly. You’ll contribute to a calm, attentive experience for animals and their owners while helping colleagues prepare for appointments and follow-up care.

Duties

- Assist with routine animal handling and help keep patients settled during care.
- Prepare and clean examination and treatment areas, equipment, and supplies.
- Support the care team with appointment preparation and clear, accurate recordkeeping.
- Follow clinic procedures for cleanliness and safe handling of animals and materials.

Qualifications

Required: Practical animal-handling skills, attention to cleanliness and detail, and the ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with the care team are significant for supporting daily clinic duties. Preferred: Laboratory experience is an advantage, along with related experience supporting animal care or clinical work and the ability to stay organized in a busy setting.

Pay: $18.25-$28.94 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
