Our client in Waterloo is looking for a Shipping Clerk with 3-5 years of experience in logistics and shipping to join their team in a full-time permanent role!
As the Shipping Clerk, you will coordinate shipments going out of the facility, prepare all necessary documentation, ensure that shipments reach their destinations and that any discrepancies are investigated and corrected!
If you have 3-5 years of experience in shipping in a manufacturing environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role could be for you!
Hours of work will be: Monday -Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of shipping and logistics experience
- Well organized, with the ability to be multi-tasked and prioritize daily requirements by urgency.
- Valuable communication and people skills
- Able to efficiently read and write
- Basic mathematics skills
- Must be able to count & read well enough to identify parts.
- Forklift license is an asset
- Must have good work attitude & ethics.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Check in and out drivers logging specific information
- Work with shipping material handlers to load appropriate shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents including UPS, LTLs and live loads.(dealing with customs and overseas as well)
- Understand and utilize streamline shipping processes
- Professionally assist customer service and logistics with questions that arise.
- Understand and practice the policies and procedures for ISO9001
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformity related to the product, process, and quality system.
- Initiate & record any problems relation to the product and process and the quality system.
- Initiate recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Conform to all safety, quality, and procedural requirements.
- Complete all other duties as assigned
