Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented EVS worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a long term care setting. This role is essential in maintaining the overall appearance and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring that residents have a clean and infection-controlled environment, while our laundry department performs a variety of laundry functions in response to the daily workload safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established standards.
- Conduct floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
- Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all cleaning tasks.




- Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles is preferred; but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and custodial practices is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $20.86-$21.22 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
