Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems, including Ethernet, telecommunication lines, and low-voltage wiring, fibre, etc. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing technical expertise in networking and electrical systems. Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, Networking equipment, Voice equipment, nursecall components, CCTV equipmnet , etc. This position is essential for ensuring reliable connectivity and communication infrastructure for our clients.

The company provides corportate credit card for gas, hotel, per diem, emergency approved supplies, etc.

Responsibilities

- Install and configure Ethernet / Fibre cabling, telecommunication lines, and low-voltage wiring systems in commercial settings
- Set up and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, and telephony equipment to ensure optimal network performance
- Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to run cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits safely and efficiently
- Conduct testing of installed systems to verify proper operation of computer networking, telecommunication, and healthcare equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing cable infrastructure as needed
- Follow safety protocols related telecommunication installations
- Document installation processes, system configurations,



and maintenance activities accurately in the SW tool provided (ConnectWise)
- Jobs are across Ontario, Canada, requiring overnight stay up to 1 week at a time.

Skills

- Proficiency in Ethernet networking and computer networking principles
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to cable routing and system installation
- Experience with hand tools commonly used in cabling work
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems, including telephony setup and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with low-voltage wiring standards and practices
- Experience working with routers, switches, and network hardware
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring schematics
- Ability to follow instructions, provide timely updates and work in excel
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting complex network issues
- Positive communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 per week
