Mentor our draftspersons and help raise the quality of everything we produce.What you'll do
Client and site work
Meet with clients in person and online to consult and provide engineering adviceTravel to sites, in southern Ontario, to review jobs, take measurements and attend bid meetingsRespond to last-minute and critical site issuesTake client calls to address concerns and provide clarificationPrepare cost estimates and budgetary quotesMeasure and sketch as-built conditions;
this may occasionally involve climbing ladders and working at heights outdoorsEngineering and calculations




Perform structural steel calculationsPerform load-bearing calculations, including relevant safety factorsPrepare and review drawings in AutoCADTechnical writing
Write and stamp:Findings letters and P.Eng. conformance lettersReports, including safety, compliance and pre-start health and safety reviewsProposals and quotationsRigging plans and instructionsMentoring and support
Guide our draftspersons through:Regular meetings and engineering adviceSketches based on site measurementsDrawing reviewsWhat you bring
Licence as a Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) in OntarioAt least 10 years of structural engineering design experienceBachelor's degree in structural or civil engineeringKnowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code and Ministry of Labour guidelinesProficiency in AutoCAD, 3D drawing software and Microsoft OfficeExcellent spoken and written English, including the ability to write clear reports and lettersStrict attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsSelf-motivation and the ability to work under tight deadlinesValid Ontario G licence and access to a vehicleBonus skills
