Job Title: Vape Filling & Pre-Roll Technician

Position Overview

The Vape & Pre-Roll Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining automated and semi-automated cannabis production equipment, specifically the VapeJet cartridge filling system and pre-roll manufacturing equipment. This role ensures consistent product quality, accurate weights, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient production output.

Key Responsibilities

Vape Technician Duties

- Operate and monitor the VapeJet automated cartridge filling machine
- Set up, calibrate, and adjust fill volumes and machine parameters
- Conduct in-process quality checks (fill accuracy, leaks, clogs, consistency)
- Identify and troubleshoot common machine issues and escalate maintenance needs
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, and workstation per GMP standards
- Accurately document batch records, lot numbers, and production data
- Assist with cartridge capping, post-fill inspection, and packaging as required
- Adhere to all health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Pre-Roll Technician Duties

- Produce machine-assisted pre-rolls to specification
- Grind, blend, and prepare flower for pre-roll production
- Operate and maintain pre-roll equipment (cone loaders, weigh stations, vibrators)
- Ensure accurate weights, consistent density, and proper airflow
- Inspect finished pre-rolls for quality, defects, and compliance
- Perform minor equipment cleaning, setup, and breakdown
- Maintain organized inventory of cones, flower, and packaging materials




- Complete required production logs and quality documentation

Quality & Compliance Responsibilities

- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Production Practices
- Maintain compliance with Health Canada / provincial regulations (or local authority)
- Uphold sanitation, hygiene, and contamination-prevention standards
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in cannabis production, manufacturing, or food/pharma environments preferred
- Experience with VapeJet or similar automated filling equipment is a strong asset
- Comfortable working with machinery and production targets
- Solid attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Must meet legal requirements for employment in the cannabis industry
