Vancouver

AnalysisWorks is seeking a curious, analytical, and client-focused analytical consultant to help healthcare organizations solve complex operational challenges using data, analytics, and stakeholder engagement. You will work directly on healthcare-related challenges to investigate business questions, transform imperfect data, build practical analytical solutions, and translate complex findings into clear recommendations that support better decisions and measurable improvement.

This role combines analytical problem-solving, consulting, project delivery, and communication. The position will initially involve a 1-year contract, but has the potential to evolve into a long-term salaried role for the right candidate.

What we're looking for. You must be:

- Technically advanced: You can work confidently with complex datasets and analytical tools (especially Microsoft Excel and SQL Server), develop efficient and reliable solutions, and troubleshoot technical challenges independently.
- Curious: You ask thoughtful questions, seek to deeply understand how things work, and look beyond the obvious answer. You are motivated by learning and continuously exploring better ways to solve problems.
- Detail-Oriented: You produce accurate high-quality results every time and understand that tiny details can materially impact analytical conclusions, recommendations, and decisions.
- Adaptable and Organized: You are comfortable managing many concurrent projects, shifting priorities, and varying client needs. You can independently assess urgency, organize workload, and maintain momentum on multiple workstreams without sacrificing quality.
- Clear communicator: You make complex data and analysis understandable and relevant.
- Self-directed: You take ownership, navigate ambiguity, follow through on commitments and proactively address obstacles.
- Problem solver: You can break down complex problems into manageable components, identify root causes, and develop practical, evidence-based solutions that people can use.
- Collaborative: You build strong relationships, listen actively, seek diverse perspectives,

and improve outcomes through effective teamwork and partnership.

What you will do:

- Conduct quantitative analysis using complex, imperfect, and multi-source datasets.
- Design, develop and maintain “client ready” analytical models, forecasts, scenarios, and repeatable analysis frameworks that address client business questions in a compelling manner.
- Perform root cause investigations and quantify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Create clear reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support evidence-based decisions.
- Validate data, identify quality issues, troubleshoot analytical outputs, write or modify queries and scripts and ensure that analyses are accurate, reliable, and repeatable.
- Working closely with other team members to ensure they have an understanding of the operational reality for each client so that it can be translated into the data.

What the role can evolve into

- Work with healthcare leaders, operational teams, and data providers to understand business needs and define the right analytical questions.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, gather requirements, and help turn ambiguity into a structured plan.
- Translate technical findings into practical recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, reports, and working sessions.
- Support clients as they plan and implement improvement initiatives.

Core Requirements:

- A degree in business, statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, economics, operations research, health informatics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Three or more years of experience in analytics, consulting, business intelligence, operations improvement, healthcare, or another quantitative role.
- Expert Microsoft Excel skills and experience producing professional deliverables in Word and PowerPoint.
- Proficient with SQL and relational data concepts.
- Ability to analyze information, identify meaningful patterns, and communicate conclusions clearly.
- Proven ability to develop new methodologies either technically or conceptually
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with above average attention to detail.

Nice to have:

- Healthcare analytics or healthcare operations experience.
- Experience with coding used in common programming languages.
- Experience using emerging AI tools to enhance data analysis, automate analytical workflows, or improve the efficiency and quality of analytical work.
- Experience with forecasting, capacity planning, operational modeling, or performance measurement.
- Consulting, facilitation, project management, or change management experience.
- Knowledge of the British Columbia or Canadian healthcare system and healthcare data.

Why AnalysisWorks:

Pay: $78,000.00-$92,000.00 per year
