Healthcare security is about more than protection. It’s about creating a safe, welcoming environment for patients, healthcare workers, and visitors. As a Healthcare Security Guard, you’ll use communication, customer service, and de-escalation skills to support safety across healthcare facilities in Calgary.

Healthcare environments can be fast-paced and emotionally demanding. Our healthcare leadership team provides 24/7 support to help you manage risks confidently.

Pay and Schedule

- Pay: $21.00/hour

- Position Type: Casual / Part time

- Availability: Flexible availability to pick up shifts based on operational needs, including day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

- Conduct patrols and identify safety hazards, unauthorized visitors, and security breaches.

- Manage access to restricted areas and monitor CCTV.

- Respond to emergencies, alarms, and challenging situations using de-escalation skills.

- Support patient safety while respecting dignity and comfort.

- Complete accurate incident reports and shift logs.

- Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and independently when required.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.





- Flexible availability to work days and nights as required.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and de-escalation skills.

- Physical ability to stand, walk, and respond to emergencies.

- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Nice to Have

- Valid Alberta Security Worker Licence.

- First Aid and CPR certification.

- Previous security, healthcare, or customer service experience.
