This hands-on role is accountable for inventory integrity, EDI order fulfillment, logistics coordination, warehouse systems and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, Sales, Finance, manufacturing partners and Quality, the Senior Manager translates business priorities into practical operating plans, supports daily execution and resolves issues on the warehouse floor.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, packing and shipping across the 50,000 sq. ft. distribution facility, including its eight dock doors; participate directly when workload or operational issues require support.

- Coordinate daily priorities with the Warehouse Manager to align people, equipment and space with order volumes, inbound deliveries and customer commitments. Provide clear handovers and timely escalation of constraints.

- Manage inbound deliveries from manufacturing partners and outbound Canadian, international and intercompany U.S. shipments; coordinate carriers, third-party logistics providers and delivery appointments.

- Monitor EDI orders through the Minotaur ERP system from receipt to dispatch. Resolve inventory, allocation and transaction exceptions with the appropriate teams and confirm orders progress within required timelines.

- Ensure fulfillment meets customer routing guides, pallet and carton specifications, labels, shipping notices and documentation requirements; investigate chargebacks and recurring service failures.

- Maintain accurate inventory quantities, locations, lot numbers and expiry dates in the ERP system; lead cycle counts, physical counts, variance investigations and approved inventory adjustments.

- Apply first-expiry-first-out or first-in-first-out controls as appropriate.

Monitor aging, short-dated, damaged and slow-moving stock and recommend timely action to management.

- Coordinate replenishment and product availability with Sales, Finance and manufacturing partners. Flag shortages and excess stock early and support demand and capacity planning.

- Ensure receiving checks identify quantity discrepancies, damage and documentation gaps; record exceptions before carrier departure where practical and coordinate resolution.

- Coordinate freight bookings, bills of lading, packing lists, export and customs documentation with carriers, brokers and internal teams; verify accuracy and resolve shipment delays or claims.

- Work with Quality and the designated Quality Assurance Person to execute applicable GMP, CFIA and Health Canada procedures. Maintain lot traceability, segregation, storage conditions, sanitation and allergen controls where applicable.

- Maintain effective controls for quarantined, returned, recalled and rejected products. Support traceability exercises, audits and corrective actions; obtain Quality authorization before releasing held stock.

- Ensure product transfers, write-offs and disposal follow documented approvals. Verify the approved product list, quantities and disposition before arranging transport or destruction and retain supporting records.

- Enforce safe practices for racking, docks, pedestrian traffic, loading, cargo securement and material handling equipment. Coordinate inspections, maintenance and corrective action with responsible parties.

- Verify operator training and authorization before equipment use; operate equipment only when trained and authorized. Address unsafe conditions promptly and report incidents and near misses.

- Coordinate company delivery van inspections, maintenance records, safe loading and driver procedures with designated staff, escalating defects or compliance concerns before use.

- Coach and develop warehouse staff in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager and HR. Reinforce respectful communication, clear expectations, training completion and consistent accountability.

- Plan staffing and equipment needs against workload and budget. Obtain required management approval before temporary labour bookings, overtime commitments, freight exceptions or other spending; coordinate approved arrangements with the Warehouse Manager.

- Develop and maintain practical SOPs and operational reporting. Track service, inventory, productivity, safety and cost performance; investigate root causes and implement measurable improvements.

- Work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Quality and manufacturing partners to resolve operational issues, communicate risks and close assigned actions on time.
