The Opportunity

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will be a senior technical delivery resource responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting solutions within Deltek Vision and Deltek Vantagepoint environments.

This is a distinctly technical rather than functional consulting role. You will translate business and functional requirements into scalable, reliable, and supportable solutions across custom development, integrations, data migration, reporting, automation, and complex troubleshooting.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Functional Consultants, technical resources, and client stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who combines solid development and systems expertise with consulting skills and enjoys solving challenging client problems.

What You'll Do

Technical Development & Customization

- Design, develop, test, and implement custom technical solutions within Deltek Vision and Vantagepoint.
- Build custom reports, workflows, scripts, extensions, automations, and other technical components.
- Translate approved functional requirements and solution designs into reliable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Manage technical work through design, development, unit testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and stabilization.
- Identify technical constraints, dependencies, risks, and implementation concerns early and communicate them clearly.
- Ensure solutions conform to approved architecture, technical standards, security expectations, and project requirements.

Integrations, APIs & Automation

- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and support integrations between Deltek Vantagepoint and third-party platforms.
- Develop and maintain APIs, connectors, interface specifications, and automation scripts.
- Build reliable processes for data exchange, monitoring, exception handling, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with internal and client technical teams to resolve integration issues.
- Ensure integration solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and supportable.

Data Migration & Conversion

- Lead the technical execution of data migrations into Deltek environments.
- Develop mappings, migration routines, transformations, validation processes, and reconciliation procedures.
- Perform and support data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
- Use SQL and Vantagepoint import tools to support migration and conversion activities.
- Partner with Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, and client stakeholders to validate business rules and resolve data issues.
- Support testing, cutover, and post-migration validation to confirm completeness and accuracy.





Technical Problem-Solving & Quality

- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across Deltek environments, customizations, integrations, data migrations, reporting, and automation.
- Investigate recurring technical issues and recommend sustainable corrective solutions.
- Perform technical reviews and support other consultants in resolving complex delivery challenges.
- Support testing, defect resolution, deployment, validation, and post-deployment stabilization.
- Stay current with Deltek enhancements, platform capabilities, supported customization approaches, and emerging technical practices.

Client Consulting & Technical Advisory

- Work directly with clients to understand technical requirements, constraints, and business challenges.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in workshops, discovery sessions, design discussions, solution walkthroughs, testing activities, and project meetings.
- Demonstrate technical solutions and help clients understand how customizations and integrations support their operating requirements.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource throughout implementation and ongoing client engagements.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

- Create clear technical documentation for customizations, integrations, data mappings, migration routines, interfaces, configurations, monitoring, testing, and support procedures.
- Document technical decisions, dependencies, assumptions, exceptions, and known limitations.
- Maintain accurate client technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute reusable technical patterns, documentation, and best practices to Rhodium’s knowledge base.
- Share technical knowledge and lessons learned with the consulting team.

Pre-Sales & Solutioning Support

- Participate in technical discovery and pre-sales discussions as required.
- Assess the feasibility of proposed customizations, integrations, migrations, and other technical requirements.
- Provide technical input into solution approaches, effort estimates, dependencies, risks, and project complexity.
- Support technical demonstrations, proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Escalate requirements that may materially affect scope, architecture, delivery approach, or estimates.

Project Delivery & Operational Responsibilities

- Track assigned deliverables and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Deliver technical work within agreed scope, timelines, architecture, and quality expectations.
- Provide technical input into project planning, estimates, testing, cutover, and readiness activities.
- Participate in project reviews, technical discussions, and solution design sessions.
- Follow Rhodium’s established project governance and technical delivery standards.
- Consistently meet applicable consulting utilization and billability expectations.





What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Five or more years of experience in technical consulting, ERP technical implementation, enterprise application development, or software development.
- Strong experience working with ERP or enterprise business systems.
- Strong SQL, scripting, automation, and API integration skills.
- Demonstrated experience of troubleshooting complex applications, integration, data, and technical issues.
- Experience translating requirements and solution designs into reliable technical implementations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and client communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, functional consultants, project managers, and client stakeholders.

Strongly Preferred

- Hands-on experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and/or Deltek Vision.
- Experience developing Deltek customizations, workflows, reports, integrations, or extensions.
- Experience with ERP data migration and conversion.
- Advanced SQL and relational database experience.
- Experience integrating ERP platforms with financial, CRM, HR, reporting, or other enterprise systems.
- Experience in a professional services or client-facing consulting setting.
- Experience facilitating technical discovery sessions, demonstrations, or client workshops.
- Familiarity with implementation methodologies, testing practices, deployment processes, and technical change management.

Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
