Allumo is a veteran-owned, pre-booked, flat-rate transportation service based in Petawawa, serving the Upper Ottawa Valley with airport runs to Ottawa (YOW), Ottawa appointment trips, and travel between Valley communities. We’re building a team of part-time drivers who take pride in protected, reliable, friendly service.

What you’ll do

- Drive scheduled and pre-booked trips in a modern minivan, mainly between the Valley and Ottawa
- Help passengers with luggage and make sure everyone is comfortable and secure
- Stay on schedule, tracking flights and keeping riders updated about pickup times
- Handle delays and disruptions as they come up, such as late flights, weather, road closures or changed plans, and keep passengers informed and at ease
- Complete pre-trip vehicle checks and keep the van clean and stocked
- Log trips and report any issues through our driver app

What we’re looking for

- Full Class G Ontario driver’s licence, held for at least 5 years, with a clean driving record
- Must meet our insurer’s driver requirements (typically age 25 or older)
- Clear criminal record check (Allumo covers the cost of the check and driver’s abstract)
- Comfortable with highway and winter driving
- Comfortable using smartphone apps and digital tools, including our driver app for trip details, schedules, navigation and passenger updates
- Comfortable driving fleet vehicles equipped with GPS tracking and dash cameras, used for dispatch, safety and service quality
- Comfortable sitting for extended periods, including long drives and waits at the airport. Shifts can run long, always within the hours and rest periods set by Ontario’s Employment Standards Act.
- Able to lift and load luggage up to about 23 kg (50 lb)
- Calm and practical when plans change,



able to solve problems on the spot and make sound judgment calls
- Discreet and respectful of passenger privacy
- Punctual, courteous, and professional, with a neat, clean appearance
- Available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
- Fit for duty on every shift: no alcohol, cannabis or other impairing substances, including impairing medications, before or during a shift, in line with Allumo’s fit-for-duty policy. No smoking or vaping in or near the vehicle.

Assets

- First aid and CPR certification
- French
- Knowledge of Ottawa and Valley roads, including the YOW terminal layout
- Previous professional driving or customer service experience
