Estimate underground power and utility infrastructure projects for Black & McDonald’s Alberta Utilities team, based in Leduc before relocation to Acheson. Lead complex bids.
Reporting to the Lead Estimator, the Senior Estimator prepares electrical and civil estimates and contributes to client, supplier, and stakeholder engagement. You will review subcontractor and supplier bids, coordinate technical proposal inputs, clarify scope with engineers, and represent the company at industry, client, and community events.

Prepare conceptual budgets and accurate utility quantity take-offsCoordinate technical proposal inputs and tender reviewsBuild relationships with clients, designers, contractors,



and suppliersLiaise with engineers on feasibility studies and scope clarificationsMaintain supplier and subcontractor directoriesRequirements:
Seven-plus years of estimating experience in utility projectsUnderground power, substation, or electrical utility backgroundStrong understanding of utility earthworks, concrete, and foundationsProficiency with estimating tools and Microsoft Office applicationsValid driver’s license may be requiredUse electrical utility estimating, stakeholder communication, and bid coordination skills to support Black & McDonald’s Western Utilities team.
