Responsibilities:

- Consistently moving core samples to and from cut shack
- Label core boxes
- Organize exterior storage area, setup core racks as required
- Kept interior and exterior of core shack clean and safe and keeps good housekeeping standards in his work area
- Enter data and sent out on a timely basis
- Cut core samples in half with a wet saw, while following QA/QC protocols
- Assist with preparing core sample shipments
- Dealing with sample issues and requirements
- Operate all equipment with diligence and care
- Perform geoteching tasks including marking and measuring drill core, labeling, orientation, measuring recovery/ RQD, recording magnetic susceptibility taking bulk density measurements, and sampling
- Field work may be required at times including GPS work, flagging access, spotting drillholes, drill site inspections, site closure, remediation and assisting geologists with sampling (rock, soil, till, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- 1 year’s experience in mineral exploration,



with experience working with a wet saw is considered an asset
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and ethical standards
- Excellent team and interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs
- Surface minder common core is considered an asset
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with reliable transportation and a clean driving record

Schedule: Various schedules available (Local, Timmins area: 5/5/4 and 7/7 or remote camp: 14/14

Pay Rate: $29-32/hr
