Job Summary:

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-quality enterprise applications. This role involves full-stack development with a focus on backend services using Java and Spring Boot, as well as frontend components using React or Angular. The developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver robust solutions that meet business requirements and comply with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

- Translate business requirements and technical specifications into scalable, secure, and tested applications.
- Develop detailed technical designs and programming specifications.
- Write, review, and maintain clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Build and enhance data-driven applications and backend services.
- Design and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure quality and reliability.
- Design and implement up-to-date, responsive frontend components using React or Angular.
- Develop robust backend services and APIs using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Support application deployment, data migration, and system integration activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through code reviews, design sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Ensure all solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and accessibility standards (including AODA compliance).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes,



tools, and standards.
- Provide technical support for implementation, system integration, data conversion, and migration activities.

Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience developing n-tier enterprise applications.
- Expertise in application design, latest design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency with Java, JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Boot Framework.
- Proficient in database design and SQL development with PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements from business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and SDLC processes.

Desired Skills:
- Experience building cloud-native, internet-facing applications on Azure.
- Knowledge of middleware, API gateways, or integration services.
- Experience leading design walkthroughs and technical discussions.
- Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and WCAG standards.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.




- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and related Oracle technologies (PL/SQL, Oracle Data Integrator) is a plus.
