Senior Software Developer Location: Toronto, Ontario Employment Type: Contract
Work Arrangement: Onsite 5 Days per Week
Contract Duration: 211 + 211 Days (Extension)
Rate: $550 per day Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements and technical specifications into scalable, secure, and fully tested applications.

- Develop detailed technical designs and programming specifications.

- Write, review, and maintain clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

- Build and enhance data-driven applications and backend services.

- Design and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

- Design and implement frontend components using React.

- Develop backend services and APIs using Spring Boot.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments.

- Support application deployment, data migration, and system integration activities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through code reviews, design sessions, and Agile ceremonies.

- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, and accessibility standards (AODA compliance).

- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards.

- Provide technical support for implementation, system integration, data conversion, and migration activities.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience developing n-tier enterprise applications.

- Expertise in application design, modern design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.

- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.

- Expertise in JPA or Hibernate.

- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.





- Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.

- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React and Angular.

- Solid database design and SQL development experience.

- Solid expertise in PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB.

- Experience with database schema design, normalization, query optimization, indexing, and database functions.

- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements from business stakeholders and subject matter experts.

- Experience designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting applications.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience in programming and systems analysis within enterprise application environments.
