Rose & Rose is a well-established law firm with a significant practice representing private mortgage lenders, Mortgage Investment Corporations (MICs), banks, and other financial institutions.

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of files, working directly with clients, and developing further expertise in residential and commercial real estate financing.

The successful candidate will have meaningful experience in real estate law and be comfortable independently managing transactions from beginning to end.

The Role

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

- Independently managing residential and commercial real estate, purchase and sales and mortgage financing transactions from opening through closing.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating transaction and financing documentation.
- Communicating directly with private and institutional lenders, borrowers, mortgage brokers, real estate professionals, and other legal counsel.
- Providing practical, timely, and responsive advice to clients throughout the transaction.
- Identifying and addressing legal, title, and closing issues as they arise.
- Managing files efficiently while ensuring deadlines, client requirements, and closing conditions are satisfied.
- Supervising, providing direction to, and supporting a team of nine law clerks.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:





- A minimum of 2 years of post-call experience practising real estate law in Ontario.
- Experience with residential mortgage and financing transactions.
- Experience with residential and commercial real estate transactions would be considered an asset.
- Strong drafting, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- The ability to independently manage files, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
- A practical, solutions-oriented, and client-focused approach to legal work.
- The ability to effectively supervise and manage law clerks and support staff.
- Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
