The Prospect

We are seeking independent cleaning subcontractors for commercial cleaning assignments as client contracts become available.

Most properties require cleaning after regular business hours, typically between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM on weekdays.

This opportunity is best suited to experienced cleaners who are comfortable working independently and are interested in recurring commercial assignments.

Important: Urbaclean Canada is expanding its client base. Assignment availability depends on customer demand, and no minimum hours, earnings or immediate assignments are guaranteed.

Independent contractors may accept or decline assignments based on their availability and business capacity.

Typical Cleaning Responsibilities

Each property has its own written cleaning scope.

Common tasks may include:

- Vacuuming carpets and rugs
- Sweeping and mopping hard floors
- Cleaning and sanitizing washrooms
- Emptying and relining waste bins
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces
- Cleaning reception and waiting areas
- Wiping desks and accessible work surfaces




- Cleaning kitchenettes and breakrooms
- Interior glass and spot cleaning
- Dusting fixtures, ledges and accessible surfaces
- Following property-specific entry and security procedures
- Reporting maintenance concerns, existing damage or accidental damage

Specialized services such as carpet extraction, floor stripping and waxing, and biohazard remediation are excluded from standard assignments.

Requirements

Required:

- Minimum 1 year of professional commercial or residential cleaning experience
- Reliable personal transportation
- Availability for evening commercial cleaning assignments
- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision
- Consistent attention to detail and quality
- Professional communication and reliable phone access
- Two professional references
- Ability to follow written cleaning scopes and client security requirements
- Willingness to complete appropriate background screening where required for property access

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous commercial office or clinic cleaning experience
- Own professional cleaning equipment and supplies
- Commercial general liability insurance of $2 million or more
- WSIB coverage or clearance where applicable
- Existing registered cleaning business
- Existing independent commercial cleaning customers

Applicants without every preferred qualification may still be considered based on experience, reliability and suitability.

Equipment & Supplies

Cleaning equipment and supply requirements are determined for each property.

Contractors who already operate with their own professional equipment and supplies are strongly preferred.

Some properties may provide certain consumables or equipment. Responsibilities for supplies, equipment, chemicals and other operating costs will be confirmed before an assignment is accepted.

Compensation

Compensation is negotiated on a per-property or per-assignment basis, taking into consideration:

- Property size and layout
- Scope of cleaning requirements
- Service frequency
- Expected time on-site
- Equipment and supply responsibilities
- Special property requirements

Target compensation:



Assignments are intended to provide approximately $25.00–$35.00 per hour equivalent for time on-site, depending on the agreed contract.

Actual earnings depend on the agreed assignment fee and time required to complete the work.

Payment terms are confirmed in the subcontract agreement. Payments are normally made by e-Transfer following verified completion and receipt of the applicable invoice.

Contractors are responsible for their own business expenses, taxes and HST obligations where applicable.
