About the Opportunity

A. Berger Precision is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Shipper / Receiver to join our manufacturing team in Brampton.

This position plays an significant role in ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or industrial environment, a valid forklift licence, and strong inventory management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products for accuracy, quantity, packaging, and condition.
- Prepare, package, label, and dispatch shipments according to customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including packing slips, commercial invoices, and export documents when required.
- Enter and update shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions in the company's computer systems.
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service to support daily operations.
- Organize storage areas and maintain inventory locations to ensure efficient material flow.
- Support inventory counts, stock replenishment, and material transfers between production areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following 5S principles and company safety procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Valid forklift licence required.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience,



preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience operating counterbalance and reach forklifts.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Grade 12 education or a minimum of three years of related work experience.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documentation, purchase orders, and inventory records.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP experience is considered an asset, particularly with shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
- Experience preparing commercial invoices and export documentation.
- Familiarity with inventory control procedures and manufacturing material flow.
- Knowledge of 5S and continuous improvement practices.
