Strategic procurement leadership awaits at BCGEU in Burnaby, focused on sourcing, contract administration, and commercial analysis. This one-year role requires travel.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Procurement, the Procurement Officer leads procurement across BCGEU. The work covers RFx development, competitive evaluation, negotiation, contract drafting, and purchasing controls. You will coordinate complex processes while supporting compliant, well-documented decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop procurement plans and appropriate sourcing strategiesLead tenders, evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendationsGuide the Senior Buyer and procurement staffPrepare, review, renew,



and administer contractsIdentify procurement and contractual risksRequirements:
Robust knowledge of strategic procurement and RFx developmentExperience analyzing commercial terms, pricing, and total costsKnowledge of contract law, privacy, and confidentiality requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and purchasing systemsValid B.
