Guide STD and LTD claims adjudication at First Canadian’s Sherwood Park head office, combining technical expertise with empathetic stakeholder communication. As Supervisor, Group Benefit STD and LTD Claims, you will lead Claims Examiners through complex files and resolution. You will provide technical training, strengthen critical thinking and clinical reasoning, and act as an escalation point for nuanced or disputed claims. The position is full-time and on-site.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical training, development, and ongoing claims support
- Escalate nuanced or disputed claims with evidence-based decisions
- Communicate professionally with clients, sponsors, providers, and stakeholders
- Ensure files follow policy terms, legislation,



and internal guidelines
- Manage priorities, deadlines, and corporate service levels

Requirements:
- Required Medical Terminology certificate
- Knowledge of disability assessment principles and vocational rehabilitation programs
- One to three years leadership experience including training and mentoring
- Solid verbal communication and professional business letter writing
- French communication skills are an asset Bring claims leadership, disability assessment knowledge, and diplomatic communication to complex STD and LTD files.
