Build lasting Indigenous relationships for conservation from Wilder Institute’s Calgary headquarters, with one to two remote days weekly. This Principal Advisor leads relationship-building, engagement, and reconciliation support across Wilder Institute. Working with internal teams and external networks, you will identify stakeholders, strengthen partnerships, and support Indigenous representation and inclusion. The role also monitors outcomes, prepares reports, and advises conservation activities in accordance with community values, cultural protocols, and rights-holder relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cooperative relationships with Indigenous rights holders and stakeholders
- Identify partners supporting the organization’s Reconciliation journey
- Support events, workshops, symposia, and cultural gatherings




- Advise teams on inclusion and underserved groups
- Meet regularly with the Chief Conservation Officer

Requirements:
- Lived experience as an Indigenous person is required
- Five to ten years of relevant professional experience
- Significant experience building stakeholder partnerships and networks
- Understanding of Indigenous conservation challenges and governance
- Ability to work sensitively across cultures with integrity Use relationship-building, facilitation, and Indigenous conservation knowledge to strengthen Wilder Institute’s partnerships and reconciliation outcomes.
