Lead server and virtualization operations at the University of Guelph, applying Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and VMware vSphere expertise. Reporting to the Manager, Systems Management, this Senior Analyst supports the University’s physical and virtual infrastructure. The work spans enterprise systems administration, monitoring, automation, and infrastructure modernization. It supports academic, research, and administrative services across the University community.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and improve physical and virtual server infrastructure
- Administer Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments
- Lead lifecycle management, migrations, refreshes, and modernization projects
- Monitor performance, capacity, incidents, problems, and root causes




- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Systems Management colleagues

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- Several years of progressively responsible enterprise systems administration experience
- Extensive Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience
- Virtualization experience, including VMware vSphere
- PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting ability Bring systems administration, virtualization, automation, and troubleshooting expertise to strengthen reliable University of Guelph infrastructure services.
