Own Homebase’s streaming data infrastructure in Toronto, from CDC pipelines through Delta. The hybrid schedule requires office collaboration Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As a Data and ML Platform Engineer, you will build systems that keep data and AI features moving reliably. Your scope includes Kafka, Debezium, Spark streaming, Delta, ingestion service levels, and replay or restream capabilities. You will also manage infrastructure deployment and share operational responsibility through on-call.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop CDC pipelines with Kafka and Debezium
- Stream data through Spark into Delta
- Support replay, restream, and ingestion SLAs
- Deploy data infrastructure through CI/CD and DABs
- Help reduce noise through the on-call rotation

Requirements:
- Production experience with distributed streaming systems
- Hands-on Spark and Delta experience
- Infrastructure-as-code experience, ideally Terraform
- Container infrastructure experience with Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
- Ownership mindset and comfort working through ambiguity Bring streaming systems, infrastructure-as-code, and operational ownership to Homebase’s Toronto data and AI platform.
