We are a boutique public accounting firm in Lacombe, AB and currently seeking an accounting technician who works closely with the partner and has an ability to work independently while collaborating with other team members. Full-cycle bookkeeping for our clients across various industries; Prepare and reconcile GST returns and other tax filings; Prepare trial balances, working papers, and supporting schedules for year-end accounting and tax preparation. Personal tax preparation; 1 to 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting firm; ~ Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in accounting or business administration is preferred. ~ Understanding of general ledger accounts, balance sheets, income statements, and accounting principles; ~ Solid computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; ~ Knowledge of CaseWare/Caseview, TaxCycle, Quickbooks, QBO, Sage, and Xero computer programs are an asset; ~ Reasonable hours all year round, limited overtime.
