This is a one year contract position, with the possibility of permanent employment at the end of the contract.

`Duties`

- Prepare personal income tax returns, sole proprietors, rental schedules, employment expenses
- Prepare corporate tax returns
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Prepare compilation, review and audit engagement files, including financial statements
- Making adjustments to client provided information
- Provide full cycle bookkeeping for corporate clients as required
- Prepare GST returns and reconcile GST balances
- Prepare T4's, T5's and T5018 slips
- Communicate with clients to identify discrepancies and missing information

`Requirements`

- 0 to 3 years recent experience in public practice in Canada
- Experience entering data and reconciling accounts using QuickBooks and Sage 50 accounting programs, with a strong knowledge of related applications
- Experience using Profile tax software,



intermediate experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience using Caseware and Jazzit software
- Must have vehicle to do field audits (greater Edmonton area)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data entry
- Robust organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
