- Howland's Honey is a 3rd generation beekeeping operation.

Location

- 1 mile South of Good Spirit Lake, SK (NE 4-29-5 W2nd)

Main Duties

- Supering hives
- Harvesting and extracting honey
- Cleaning honey extraction and storage equipment
- Barrel moving, preparation, filling and storage
- Manufacture, assemble, and maintain hive equipment
- Bee yard maintenance

Personal Characteristics

- Good physical and mental health
- Good coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- General interest in apiculture and a willingness to learn
- A responsible attitude when handling equipment
- Flexibility and adaptability

Working Conditions

- Some tasks are performed outside regardless of weather conditions.




- Work may be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring self-motivation.
- Safety precautions must be followed and protective clothing worn to avoid injury.
- Appropriate hygiene practices must be followed to prevent contamination
- Heavy lifting is required
- Solid work ethic is a must!

Relevant Skills & Experience

- Must have at least 7 months experience beekeeping.
- Ability to drive and operate farm trucks.
- Hand tool use associated with beekeeping tasks

Beneficial but not required

- Equipment operation and maintenance
- First Aid/CPR
- Valid driver's license (asset)
