Lead nursing services at Extendicare through resident care planning, leadership, and quality oversight in a full time Associate Director of Care role. Reporting to the Director of Care, this nursing leadership role develops philosophies, goals, policies, procedures, and nursing functions. You will collaborate on departmental management, resident services, staffing, resources, and standards. The position supports quality care and continuous improvement across the home.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop nursing philosophies, goals, policies, and procedures
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate resident care services
- Oversee nursing financial and human resource management
- Hire, supervise, evaluate, promote, or terminate care staff
- Assume Director of Care responsibilities during absences Requirements:
- One year Registered Nurse experience in long-term care
- Three years managerial or supervisory nursing experience
- Current Provincial Registered Nurse registration required
- Current CPR designation required
- Microsoft Office Suite computer literacy required Bring Registered Nurse leadership, resident care expertise, and communication skills to Extendicare’s nursing department and residents.
