On-Call Event Bartender / Server

About the Position

Outlawed Hats and GCI is looking for a personable, reliable, and professional Bartender / Server to assist with occasional events and private functions throughout the year.

This is a casual, on-call position ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, entertaining, and creating a welcoming experience for guests.

Events may include company gatherings, brand-related events, private celebrations, holiday parties, and other hosted social functions.

This is not a traditional restaurant position. Hours will vary depending on the event schedule, with opportunities to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service.

Assist with food and appetizer service.

Set up and prepare event spaces before guests arrive.

Maintain clean and organized bar and serving areas.

Monitor bar inventory and assist with restocking.

Help with event breakdown and cleanup.

Ensure responsible alcohol service and a safe workplace for guests.





Qualifications

Previous bartending or serving experience preferred.

Valid Alberta ProServe certification required for alcohol service.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional, punctual, and dependable.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a small event team.

Flexible availability for occasional evenings and weekends.

Comfortable working in both formal and casual event settings.
