ABOUT THE ROLE

Do you enjoy bringing people together and creating moments that make someone’s day? Oakville Estates Retirement Residence is seeking a warm, creative and enthusiastic Blossom Coordinator to help our residents stay active, connected and engaged.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan and lead engaging activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise and outings.
- Encourage residents to participate in programs that reflect their interests and abilities.
- Support residents’ social connections, independence and overall well-being through meaningful engagement.
- Assist residents safely to and from programs and activities.
- Help organize special events, seasonal celebrations and community activities.
- Work collaboratively with the residence team to deliver welcoming and enjoyable programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working with seniors; experience in a retirement residence or long-term care setting is an asset.
- Previous experience as an Activity Aide or in a similar recreation role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and compassionate approach.
- Creativity,



enthusiasm and the ability to encourage participation.
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Availability to work days, evenings and weekends.
