Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager / Sales Director to join their growing organization, supporting business development initiatives throughout British Columbia.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business relationships and strengthening existing partnerships across the region. This is a relationship-focused, field-based sales position that combines new business development, territory management, and advisor engagement. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the organization's insurance advisor network, delivering product presentations, and supporting continued growth throughout British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute business development initiatives to increase sales and revenue throughout the assigned territory
- Identify, prospect, and establish relationships with new insurance advisors and distribution partners
- Manage and strengthen existing insurance advisor relationships to maximize business opportunities
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of new insurance advisors
- Conduct regular field visits and meetings to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Deliver product presentations, seminars, and webinars to educate insurance advisors on available products and services
- Develop a strong understanding of the organization's insurance products, market positioning, and competitors
- Collaborate with internal teams and national account management to support business development initiatives
- Promote sales incentive programs, campaigns, and other initiatives to encourage advisor engagement
- Monitor territory performance and identify opportunities to increase premium sales, advisor participation, and profitability
- Address advisor enquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner




- Manage territory expenses and travel activities effectively
- Represent the organization professionally at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities
- Build long-term advisor relationships that support sustainable revenue growth and continued territory development

Must Haves

- Active Life and Accident & Sickness (A&S;) Insurance Licence
- 3+ years of sales or business development experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop current business relationships and grow existing accounts
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage an assigned territory
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel throughout British Columbia as required

Nice to Have

- Previous experience working with insurance advisors or within insurance distribution
- Experience managing a geographical sales territory
- Experience developing relationships with insurance brokers, advisors, or distribution partners
- Experience delivering product presentations, seminars, or webinars
- Previous experience in consultative B2B sales or channel development

What's on Offer

- $70,000 – $95,000 base salary
