Advanced Yard Works Inc is a local family owned lawn care & snow services company.

We are seeking 2 casual (on-call) team members to join our winter crew from now until April. For those interested, there is opportunity to transition into year-round employment on a casual, part-time or permanent basis.

This is a physically demanding position, working in cold, winter weather conditions. Depending on the snow, shifts range from 6-10 hours, typically between 6am and 6pm, seven days a week. Training and uniform are provided.

Duties

- Clear snow and ice from residential and commercial properties
- Operate equipment including snowblower, snow broom, backpack blower, shovel
- Apply sand, rock chips or de-icing product as required
- Perform routine maintenance on winter machinery and tools
- Ensure safety protocols are always adhered to

Qualifications

- Dependable, hard worker with a valuable attitude




- Flexible schedule as you will need to be available on short notice
- Experience and mechanical knowledge are an asset
- Physically fit with ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively
- Valid Class 5 or Class 3 driver's license in acceptable standing

Hours

- On-call, no guarantee of hours
- Shifts can be 6-10 hours, typically between 6am to 6pm
