Description

Fredericton Christian Academy (FCA) is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and flexible individual to join our facilities team as a Casual On-Call Custodian. This position will provide custodial support on an as-needed basis to cover staff absences, additional cleaning requirements, special events, and other facility needs.

The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of classrooms, hallways, washrooms, offices, gymnasiums, and other school facilities.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
- Clean and disinfect desks, tables, countertops, washrooms, and high-touch surfaces.
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Restock washroom supplies and other cleaning materials as required.
- Assist with cleaning and preparing facilities for school events and activities.
- Respond to occasional cleaning requests and facility needs.
- Follow established cleaning procedures, health and safety guidelines, and proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
- Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
- Perform other custodial duties as assigned.





Qualifications And Requirements

- Previous custodial or cleaning experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean setting.
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility and availability to accept shifts on short notice.
- Must be willing to work occasional daytime, evening, or weekend shifts as required.
- Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
