Position: Civil CAD Technologist - Land Development & Infrastructure

Location: West Ottawa - On-site

Salary: $80,000 annually

Our client is seeking a Civil CAD Technologist who wants to develop their design skills across land development and public infrastructure projects. You'll work alongside engineers, technologists, planners, and landscape architects, with mentorship from colleagues across several disciplines.

In this role, you'll turn engineering concepts into accurate drawings that support projects from early design through construction. The position is fully in office for the first year, with the possibility of a hybrid arrangement afterward.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create preliminary and detailed civil design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Support roadway, grading, drainage, watermain, and sanitary servicing designs
- Coordinate drawings and design information with other project team members
- Assist with construction cost estimates
- Participate in site inspections and surveys when needed

Qualifications:

- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology,



including design coursework in storm and sanitary sewers, watermains, drainage, roadways, and grading
- Three to five years of related civil CAD and design experience
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
- Solid attention to accuracy and ability to organize work across multiple tasks
- Clear communication skills and ability to work both independently and with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work on site in West Ottawa for the first year
- A C.E.T. designation, technical writing skills, and construction inspection or survey experience are assets
