About the OpportunityOur client is supporting a portfolio of seven planned turnaround events across multiple facilities in Alberta, with additional turnaround work anticipated. This is an excellent prospect for a senior turnaround professional seeking long-term project exposure within a large and active turnaround program.The Turnaround Cost Controller will play a critical role in ensuring effective cost management throughout the turnaround lifecycle, supporting planning, execution readiness, and event delivery across multiple sites.Monitor turnaround expenditures against approved budgets and identify cost variances and associated risks.Prepare regular cost performance reports for turnaround leadership and key stakeholders.Support cost forecasting, accruals, cash flow projections, and final cost reconciliation activities.Manage cost-related change management processes, including tracking scope changes and assessing financial impacts.Partner closely with turnaround planners, schedulers, execution teams, contractors,



and site stakeholders to ensure accurate cost visibility and reporting.Ensure data integrity and effective use of cost management tools and systems.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to turnaround cost performance and reporting.Qualifications10+ years of experience in industrial turnaround, shutdown, maintenance, or major project environments.Proven experience leading turnaround cost control activities on large-scale turnaround events.Demonstrated ability to manage cost performance across complex, multi-discipline turnaround programs.Extensive experience working within refining, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate financial performance to diverse stakeholders.Experience utilizing turnaround and project controls systems for cost tracking, reporting, and performance management.Experience working within large operating facilities across Alberta or similar industrial environments.
