Role Description The CPA Candidate will support assurance, tax, and accounting engagements for a diverse portfolio of individual and corporate clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing working papers, assisting with audits and review engagements, compiling financial statements, and supporting tax compliance and planning activities. The role involves analyzing financial information, identifying issues and opportunities, and communicating findings to senior team members.

The CPA Candidate will collaborate with colleagues to ensure deadlines are met, maintain organized documentation,



and uphold firm standards of quality and professionalism. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC.

Qualifications

- Progression toward CPA designation, with completed or near-completed required academic prerequisites.
- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and standards (ASPE/IFRS), and experience preparing financial statements or working papers.
- Understanding of personal and corporate income tax concepts, and interest in developing tax compliance and tax planning skills.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software (e.g., CaseWare, tax preparation tools) and strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy in financial data and documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to colleagues and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a professional services environment.
- Team-oriented mindset, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback in a team-based setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Working proficiency in English; French language skills are a strong asset given the Quebec client base.
- Interest in public practice and in building a long-term career in assurance, tax, and advisory services.
