Join Ayr Welding’s fabrication team in Ayr, Ontario, where quality workmanship, safety, and solving challenging fabrication problems are central to our work. For more than 40 years, we have provided welding, fabrication, process piping, and industrial project services to clients across Ontario.

This shop-based role is suited to a welder-fitter with 3+ years of experience in a custom metal fabrication environment.

What You'll Be Doing

· Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and sample parts to understand project specifications

· Produce custom parts, assemblies, and fabricated components based on drawings and specifications provided.

· Determine required equipment and welding methods

· Plan and organize the required work sequence, then select and prepare materials accordingly

· Accurately measure, fit, align and assemble components

· Identify and resolve routine fitting errors, and escalate complex technical errors

· Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions

· Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, and spatter

· Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts





· Produce high-quality parts efficiently and meet project deadlines

What We're Looking For

Required:

· 3+ years of fitting experience in a custom fabrication setting

· Experience welding using MCAW and GMAW processes

· Experience welding stainless steel using GTAW and FCAW

· Ability to work efficiently as part of a fabrication team

· Current CWB tickets, including a valid MCAW, GMAW- Flat position

Preferred:

· Experience welding and fitting aluminum
