Dental office between Bloor West/Queen West area is looking for a Dental Assistant Level II full time.

POSITION/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Experienced Dental Assistant, ideally 2 yrs experience

- Received Dental Assistant Diploma from accredited assisting school

LOCATION: West of Lansdowne/ Queen St. West

HOURS:

- Mon 9:30-6:30

- Tues 7:30-3:30

- Thurs 9:30-7:30

- Fri 7:30-1:30

- Sat 7:30-2 (1 a month)

COMPENSATION:

- $26-$31 ​depending on experience and performance

JOB OVERVIEW:

- Assists with restorative and cosmetic procedures

- Sterilizing instruments

- Placement and removal of rubber dams

- Taking x-rays of patients' teeth and exposing dental diagnostic x-rays

- Using suction and swabs to keep patients' mouths clear and dry during procedures

- Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models





- Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics

- Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist's reference

- Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs

- Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
