Job Title: Development Manager – Lending Technology Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid) Experience: 13 Years Domain: Banking / Financial Services / Lending Role Type: Development Manager / Application Development Manager Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Development Manager – Lending Technology with 13 years of IT experience and strong expertise in the Banking and Lending domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale application development and technology transformation initiatives, managing cross-functional engineering teams, multiple vendors, and senior business and technology stakeholders. The candidate should possess a strong combination of technical leadership, lending domain expertise, delivery governance, and stakeholder management skills, with experience managing complex banking applications, integrations, and multiple development workstreams.

Key Responsibilities Development & Delivery Leadership Lead end-to-end delivery of complex banking and lending technology initiatives, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, implementation, and production stabilization. Manage multiple development workstreams and distributed onsite/offshore engineering teams. Establish development standards, engineering governance, code quality, release management, and production stability controls.

Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, budgets, resource allocation, and executive reporting.

Drive

Agile delivery across multiple development squads. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, information security, risk,



and regulatory compliance requirements. Provide leadership during critical production incidents, releases, and large-scale technology transformations.

Banking & Lending Domain Expertise Strong understanding of the end-to-end lending lifecycle, including: Customer onboarding and loan origination. Loan application intake and processing. Credit assessment and underwriting.

Credit decisioning and risk evaluation. Loan pricing and offer management. Documentation and fulfillment. Loan booking and disbursement. Loan servicing and account maintenance. Payments and collections.

Delinquency and default management.

Banking

Systems & Integrations Experience with consumer, commercial, mortgage, or small-business lending platforms. Understanding of integrations between lending applications and core banking systems.

Experience working with customer master systems, credit bureaus, payment platforms, document management, CRM, risk, and fraud management systems. Ability to manage complex application ecosystems involving multiple integrations and dependent technology teams.

Required Qualifications 13 years of overall IT experience. Solid experience in Development Management, Application Development Management, or Technology Delivery Leadership. Extensive experience in Banking, Financial Services, and Lending technology. Proven experience managing large-scale application development initiatives.

Experience leading cross-functional, onsite, offshore, and vendor teams.

Strong

Agile delivery, project governance, risk management, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and executive-level reporting capabilities.
