Are you an EA looking for extra hours on the weekends?

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Child Caregivers to join our team in caring for children with special needs one on one in their own homes. As a caregiver for children with various physical and cognitive disabilities, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children in our care.

Your role will involve providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, engaging with children, providing age and ability-appropriate activities, and ensuring their well-being.

Available Shifts : Sundays 9:00am -3:00pm.

Duties

- Assist children with daily care and routines, such as mealtime, naptime, and toileting

-Engage in development level appropriate activities
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare space

-May be required to drive children to activities using your own vehicle
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care

Skills:
- Experience with children: Previous experience working or volunteering with children
- Caregiving: Ability to provide nurturing care to children with special needs, meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Early childhood education:



Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities. Knowledge of "Triple P Parenting" principles is an asset.
- Educate: Ability to engage children in educational activities that promote their cognitive, physical, and social development.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background check clearance including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Excellent communication skills
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

-preference given to candidates with experience caring for children with special needs, candidates with in school EA experience, and to candidates with relevant educational courses/certificates. Job Type: Part time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
