About the role
Chive is a Toronto-based home decor and gifting brand selling across Canada, the US, the UK and the EU through 6 Shopify storefronts and other online sales channels, with Odoo (hosted on Odoo.sh) as our inventory and ERP system of record.
This is a hands-on systems role focused on our ERP, the integrations between our systems, and data accuracy across every store and sales channel. It is not a developer position. You need to understand how our business runs, from orders and inventory to fulfillment and wholesale, and make our systems match that logic, whether you’re fixing a problem or building something new.
Reports to: Director of E-commerce & Digital Marketing
Location: Toronto, Ontario (in office)
Salary: $80,000–$95,000 CAD, based on experience
What you’ll do
- Administer Odoo ERP (Odoo.sh) as the system of record for inventory, orders and products
- Own the integrations between Odoo, ShipStation, our 6 Shopify storefronts and other sales channels, including inventory and order sync connectors
- Manage product, pricing, inventory, variant, collection and customer data across all stores, Odoo and other channels, including bulk imports, exports and updates
- Find and fix data errors across systems, such as sync failures, mismatched SKUs, and duplicate or missing records
- Learn how our operations, warehouse, sales and marketing teams work, translate their needs into system configuration and process changes, and propose improvements
- Support additional platforms and sales channels as the business grows
- Work with outside vendors and developers on ERP and integration fixes,
and document systems and processes
- Handle day-to-day IT requests, including user accounts and access, devices, software, networking and basic security
What we’re looking for
- 3–5+ years in a systems, ERP or e-commerce operations role, ideally in retail, e-commerce or wholesale
- Hands-on ERP administration experience, including configuration, user management, inventory and sales modules, and troubleshooting (Odoo strongly preferred; NetSuite or similar also considered)
- Experience with ERP–Shopify integrations, such as inventory sync, order flow, connectors, APIs and webhooks
- Proven experience managing product and inventory data across multiple Shopify stores, including bulk data operations (CSV, Excel, Matrixify or similar) and multi-market setups
- Strong understanding of how a retail or wholesale business operates, including order flow, inventory, fulfillment, pricing and customer types (DTC and B2B), and how that translates into ERP and e-commerce setup
- Able to work with non-technical teams to understand a business problem, then decide what to change in the systems to solve it
- Comfortable handling general IT support for a small office
- Methodical troubleshooter who documents their work and owns problems end to end
- Authorized to work in Canada
Nice to have
- Odoo.sh experience, or Python (Odoo is built on it)
- Shopify Plus, Shopify Markets and B2B/wholesale setups
- Experience with ShipStation, online marketplaces or wholesale platforms
- Basic SQL
- Experience working with overseas or outsourced development teams
