VP Protection Inc. is seeking professional, alert, and dependable Security Guards to support an upcoming activation event in Downtown Toronto. Guards will be responsible for providing exterior static security and safeguarding client assets, equipment, and property throughout the activation period.

This position requires guards to maintain a highly visible security presence at designated exterior locations. Successful candidates must be comfortable working outdoors, standing for extended periods of approximately 6–10 hours, and remaining attentive throughout their shifts.

We are looking for individuals with solid observation skills, a proactive approach to security, and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the security team and event representatives.

All guards are expected to act as professional representatives of both our client and VP Protection Inc. while interacting with event staff, contractors, visitors, and members of the public.

Please note: Parking is available at the location; however, parking costs will be the responsibility of the employee.

JOB REQUIREMENTS - MANDITORY

· Flexible availability for all shifts; nights, afternoons, weekends, and holidays

- Must possess a valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Must have previous security experience, preferably in asset protection, static guarding, or special event security.
- Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods of 6–10 hours.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors for the duration of the shift and in varying weather conditions.




- Must maintain a high level of alertness and situational awareness.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow post orders and instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
- Must demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to respond appropriately to security incidents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain a visible exterior security presence at designated activation locations.
- Protect and safeguard client assets, equipment, materials, and property against theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, or damage.
- Conduct continuous visual monitoring of the surrounding area and assigned assets.
- Prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing restricted areas or interfering with client property.
- Remain stationed at assigned security posts unless otherwise directed by the supervisor.
- Monitor suspicious activity and immediately report security concerns or incidents.
- Conduct regular visual checks of designated areas and assets.
- Respond promptly and professionally to security-related incidents and emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, event coordinators,



client representatives, and other security personnel.
- Maintain accurate incident reports, occurrence logs, and other required documentation.
- Follow all site-specific post orders, operational procedures, and client instructions.
- Maintain professionalism and interact respectfully with members of the public.
- Assist with emergency procedures when required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT This is an exterior static security assignment in a busy Downtown Toronto environment. Guards will be required to remain outdoors and stand for extended periods while protecting designated client assets.

Candidates should be prepared for changing weather conditions and must be able to maintain focus and professionalism throughout their assigned shifts.
