Now Hiring: Shop and Field Laborer (Full-Time) Location: Ed’s Valve Servicing Shop – Red Deer County, AB. (Travel throughout Alberta Required)

Ed’s Valve Servicing (Red Deer) Ltd. Shop is looking for a motivated and reliable Laborer to join our team in Red Deer County. We are a well-established valve servicing and repair shop serving industrial clients and pride ourselves on quality workmanship and a strong work ethic.

Position Summary The Laborer / Valve Technician Assistant will work alongside our experienced Valve Technicians Supervisor in oilfield facilities throughout Alberta. This position provides hands-on support during valve maintenance, testing,



and repair activities while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

When field work is unavailable, the successful candidate will work in our valve repair shop assisting with shop operations, maintenance, cleaning, material handling, and various labor-related tasks.

Field Work

- Assist Valve Technicians with valve and PSV maintenance, repair, testing, and inspection activities.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at customer sites.
- Follow all client and company safety procedures.
- Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and safety programs.
- Assist with equipment setup and teardown.

Shop Duties

- Clean and prepare valves and components for repair.
- Assist with disassembly and assembly of valves under supervision.
- Operate shop tools and equipment safely.
- Perform housekeeping duties and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Organize inventory, tools, and materials.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse tasks.
- Perform other labor and maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated.
- Previous oilfield, industrial, labor, or mechanical experience is considered an asset.
